"Their five track record 'Fern' floats into being with a blizzard of screaming guitars - a clamorous instrumental race to the beginning of the song that sounds like Earth trying to play a 'Bloody Valentine jam and freaking out under the frustration. 'The Dire and Ever Circling Wolves' with another guitar and a Scratch Acid injection." - Josh Turner (Pagan Punx)
There's a solid musicianship here, a sense of tightness in performance and technical control, and it's all very impressive. I expected as much having seen their live performance with SRSQ last summer, and I'm happy that they're able to transfer their intensity between stage and studio and back again.
Heavy stuff that comes highly recommended. rikm
In terms of darkness and extremity we have reached a point here. There is a lot going on during this record but the theme of just utter fucking ugliness permeates. Beautifully grotesque. Great record. popcornpoopturd
